If you are in Amsterdam somewhere between June 25th and September 15th you have to visit photography museum FOAM for the 'Pretty Much Everything' exhibition of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin. It will be an overview of their amazing work produced between 1985-2010.

Inez and Vinoodh started their collaboration in Amsterdam in 1986, now 25 years later, they are, without a doubt, two of the most important photographers in the world.

  • Terry is in Trouble

Last week, the Danish model Rie Rasmussen confronted photographer Terry Richardson in Paris, and said he abuses his position of power within the industry to sexually harass young women with impunity. "They are too afraid to say no because their agency booked them on the job and are too young to stand up for themselves," said Rasmussen. "I told him, 'What you do is completely degrading to women. I hope you know you only fuck girls because you have a camera, lots of fashion contacts and get your pictures in Vogue.'"
Rather than defend himself, Richardson allegedly fled the scene, and instead called Rasmussen's agency to complain about her.
Jezebel published many more tales of Richardson's behavior and they are quite disturbing. I wonder if this will influence his career or will only bring him more jobs. After all "Uncle Terry" has some powerful friends.

The internet, a source of information, inspiration and freedom of expression, but from time to time also a source of irritation. I love all those tumblr blogs, but man I hate it when the names of the original artists are not mentioned. Whether it's a song, a photograph or painting the musician, photographer or artist must have credits. You can drag and drop whatever you want from the internet and that can be a beautiful thing, but don't flaunt another man's work without at least mentioning their name. Well that said, I found these beautiful images on a tumblr blog and I really wanted to show them on my blog, but no source was mentioned. Because I never post images without the names of the makers, I searched my ass off. I finally found the artists behind this beautiful work, called Bêtes de mode, on the website of Helmo, two graphic designers, Thomas Couderc et Clément Vauchez, from France. The images were originally made for Galeries Lafayette in 2006 in a cooperation with Thomas Dimetto, the animal photographs were made by Christophe Urbain, photographs of the people were shot by Laurent Croisier, styling by Romain Vallos  and creative directors Anne Claire Boulard and Tulip Santene.

V Magazine’s Size issue is a tribute to the idea that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Terry Richardson photographed Crystal Renn and Jacquelyn Jablonski, two different body types, wearing the same outfits. Styling by Mel Ottenberg.
