Leather, ripped bleached jeans, studs: typical Rock 'n Roll. Metal, Rock or Punk you either like it or you don't and that's fine, it was never meant to be mainstream after all. As a true Rock and Metal lover I'm not sure how I feel about this style coming into fashion, mainstream fashion I mean. But wait I know how I feel about this, certainly after seeing a crappy Dutch singer with a Metallica patch on a Denim waistcoat, I really do not like it! Please, all you H&M's and Zara's, please leave this one alone, please leave it to us: the true Rock 'n Rolla's! I know, it's already too late for this whining. The bright side however is that it will all be over in 1 year at the most. That's the thing about fashion, there is always something to look forward to!

It's very hard to pick a favorite, but from all the things I do in fashion making illustrations and collages is something that will always make me happy. I love to sit in my workspace with music on the background and just draw or puzzle to make a collage that fits the assignment. In my illustrations and collages I visualize, combine, adopt and adapt trends, shows or most important pieces of a particular designer in a more creative way than just showing a photo. This collage is a combination of a Hervé Léger dress which in this case only shows the top, fragments of a S/S09 Viktor & Rolf dress and Gareth Pugh shoes from A/W08.
