Before my times as a publicist I was doing a lot of things in the creative industry. But my main money came from making illustrations and collages. On this cold and grey sunday I felt like testing myself, to see if I still had it in me. I forgot how much fun it was.
Earlier this year I had the honor to make a collage for this fun fashion book 'Never Leave the House Naked and 50 other Ridiculous Fashion Rules', by author Anneloes van Gaalen.
In my opinion fashion is about creativity, it enables us to project our own unique self or to be someone else for a day. Some rules in the book are nothing short of ridiculous, others serve more as words of wisdom. Fashion is always changing and so are the rules. Once it was absolutely not done to wear heavy eye make-up and lipstick at the same time, now it is in fashion. The same with high waisted pants and just a few years ago the legging was considered the biggest fashion faux-pas EVER. Look at us now, being fabulous in our Lamé pair... The thing with fashion is that you supposed to have fun with it. The same applies for this book, enjoy reading it!

We couldn't get enough from France so we decided to extend our vacation with a weekend in Paris. We got back in Amsterdam on sunday where a pile of emails and work was waiting for me, but it's all good. So fully reloaded, back to business.
p.s. I really realized how fast fashion is moving and how many images we see every day. Only two weeks without any source of media and god I missed a lot! It was really nice for a change though.
