My boyfriend and I are both (thank God) not crazy about Christmas. Every year we pretend that it's just another weekend and we ignore every fancy diner, christmas tree or -song. To do that you have to keep yourself busy, and we are quite the experts in doing just that. Last year we painted the walls of our apartment and this year we (well my boyfriend and his buddy for life Roon) made our wall even look better. Earlier this year we watched the classic series Twin Peaks by David Lynch, for old time's sake. Still amazing. We got fascinated by the 'three things' the Giant tells Special Agent Dale Cooper in a dreamy vision, which he has to decipher in order to solve Laura Palmer's murder;
There's a man in a smiling bag, The owls are not what they seem, Without chemicals, he points.
My boyfriend, graphic designer 21bis, made this wall-piece out of these three sentences. Pretty cool, no? Placing this little piece of art on our wall was kinda tricky, so we asked the help of a professional, our personal Giant Roon aka krb33.
I just watched "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" and it made my day, no my freakin' week! I just love this movie. It reminds me of the nights we'd go out after hours of doing our hair & make-up and dressing up in such extravagant clothes we'd have to push each other into the car like cupcakes through a keyhole. Ah nostalgia!
