• From runway to street

It is always interesting to see how the runway translates itself to the street. Which styles are picked up, how and how soon. The headscarfs in the D&G Fall ad campaign are easy to copy and it looks amazing especially if you have a pretty face like these to girls photographed by Face hunter.

  • Yves Saint Laurent’s Nostalgia

    06.04.08

Remember the time of handwritten letters and postcards? The time that we wrote endless letters to our friends up until the point when you couldn't even feel your fingers anymore? The time we took to write and decorate it with stickers and drawings? The time when we practiced different kind of handwritings? Oh nostalgia... Yves Saint Laurent's Y-mail collection brings us back to that time with the handwritten address of Yves Saint Laurent on wallets, clutches, bags and key rings.

  • Chanel made me go to rehab

    16.03.08

The "Rehab Bag" by Chanel must be the most wanted accessory for the upcoming season. This cute ankle bag made it's entrance during the show Nuits d'Été S/S 2008. Cute it is, the name ambiguous and supposedly inspired by a certain A lister who wore an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet. "For a woman who crosses her legs in a nightclub, leaning over and pulling out her lipstick becomes a very beautiful gesture." says Karl Lagerfeld.
And there you have it, Monsieur Lagerfeld proves again that he can turn anything into chic. Now all we need to know is who this source of inspiration was, I think I've got an idea...

  • Fantasy Footwear

    17.01.08

Accessories demand the attention this spring. Moschino Cheap and Chic brings us the smiling bag, Marc Jacobs the horizontal heel, Yves Saint Laurent the amazing Plexiglas necklaces, Prada's hippie-romantic footwear and Trussardi shows us that Chihuahuas are out. But the teacup and candlestick heels by Miu Miu really won this one. For the Spring collection, Miuccia Prada said she was thinking about "life as theater, and all the clichés of how people represent themselves in the world." The result: a collection with characters like a French-maid, harlequins and Pierrot's with a really short silhouette.
