A few years ago I came across an amazing black and white photograph of a Teddy Boy. Beautifully aged and stories written in the lines on his face. I looked up the photographer on the internet, it was Ben Watts. Born in London, now based in New York, brother of actress Naomi Watts, son of Peter Watts, a road manager for Pink Floyd. His work has been seen in various international fashion magazines, such as InStyle, GQ, Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. But his portraits are my favorites, especially the Teddy Boy series.
I have to confess that I took the photo off the internet, had it printed and framed, it’s been on my living room wall ever since, till I can afford the real deal of course… ▲
